At Community Church, we make every effort to meet the needs of the congregation and the surrounding community. Whether the need is emotional or physical, it is our hope that we can provide support for our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Below you’ll find a sampling of ministry opportunities available through Community Church.
Stephen Ministry
Stephen Ministry is a one-on-one, distinctively Christian care giving ministry. Stephen Ministers are compassionate, skilled, trustworthy, and full of faith.

Good Grief
People can experience loss and grief as a result of a variety of circumstances. Good Grief groups form regularly throughout the year, and participants are led on a 10 week journey that offers faith-based perspective on finding hope.
Kairos Kitchen Caring Meals
Whether due to an illness, injury or a life-changing event, coordinating dinner may seem like a daunting task. Named after the Greek word kairo, which means “the right time” or “in God ’s time,” Kairos Kitchen Caring Meals are prepared in batches, frozen and delivered to help at that time when our members (or friends of members) need it most.
Pastoral Care
Unfortunately, some of our members may not be able to physically worship with us. For those members who are homebound or in nursing homes, assisted living facilities or hospitals, Pastor John and members of the Pastoral Care Team make regular visits to share the love of God.
Food Pantry
The Food Pantry provides food to needy families in the community at various times throughout the year. Members of the congregation and local organizations donate non-perishable food items to keep the food pantry stocked throughout the year.
Carpenter’s Apprentice
Sometimes, small, household jobs can seem overwhelming, especially for seniors and those unable to physically work. The Carpenter’s Apprentice program was formed to help those who just need a hand around the house. Whether it is painting or minor repairs, our workers can help with various household maintenance projects.
