At Community Church, sharing the good news of Jesus Christ is at the forefront of our undertaking. Through our Evangelism team, we make every effort to impart our faith through our thoughts, words and deeds.

Busy Hands Sewing Circle

The Busy Hands Sewing Circle accepts donated supplies and, using their crafty talents, creates sleeping bags for the homeless and lap robes for residents in nursing homes. This group meets regularly at the church to sew and enjoy fellowship with each other.

Meals on Wheels

Community Church serves as a distribution point for Tri-City Meals on Wheels. Five days a week, drivers leave from Community Church and deliver meals to members of our community in need.

Holiday Family Outreach

While most holiday celebrations center around a large, bountiful meal, we understand that not everyone in our community are able to afford to provide this type of food. Community Church volunteers grocery shop and deliver food for a holiday meal to local families in need. This ministry takes place around Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

United Methodist Women - UMW

The United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom through Jesus Christ. Their contributions to Community Church include supporting missions and organizing clothing drives, This 'n That Sale, funeral luncheons, Lenten dinners and Holiday Helping Hands.

Angel Food Ministries

Community Church serves as a distribution point for this national, non-profit program that helps communities save money on their food expenses. Providing quality, nutritious food at significant discounts on a regular basis is one practical way to give people a “hand up” during difficult times. Each month's menu is different and consists of fresh, frozen and packaged food. The cost for a box of Angel Food is $30. There is no purchase limit for boxes of Angel Food. There are no applications or qualifications necessary to purchase.

Super Seniors

For nearly 30 years, the Super Seniors have been meeting at Community Church for lunch and fellowship. Currently, the group meets the 1st Tuesday of every month in Fellowship Hall. They have a meeting, play games, and the Office of the Aging usually supplies lunch. Super Seniors is open to anyone over age 55, and they welcome new friends.
