Rev. Dr. Rich Phipps, Associate Pastor
Hello! What a blessing to serve Community Church! As Associate Pastor, I will lead worship and deliver sermons along with Pastor John and Director of Youth Ministries Frank Audia. Prior to joining Community Church, I led the congregation at Homestead Park United Methodist in Munhall, Pennsylvania for 9 years. Both my seminary and doctoral degrees come from Asbury Seminary in Kentucky. I am married to Marsha and am the proud father of three children, McKenna, 13, Abby, 10, and Matthew, 15 months. I am a native of Butler, PA and Marsha’s home was in the Peach State of Georgia.

Kathy McDowell, Director of Childcare
Hello! I am thrilled to be here at Community Church, and I so enjoy caring for the youngest of our church family. I have 35 years of experience with preschool age children. I moved here from Southern California to help our daughter and her husband, Christina and Matt Baughman, with their children. My grandchildren--Jack, 7; Abby and Cole, 2 1/2--are precious to me, as are your children.
David O'Block, Director of Audio/Visual
Hello, I help people hear the Word of God! I am building and training teams to operate the sound and video equipment for worship and other events. I am responsible for the care, maintenance and scheduling of multimedia for our church. I've had 35 years of experience with sound reinforcement and as a musician. I enjoy singing and playing guitar or bass with our contemporary worship band whenever I have the chance. Most of the time during the week I am hard at work servicing my clients as a Certified Financial Planner at my firm "The Equity Advisor Group". I squeeze in a little time to do some gardening, working out, making music and riding a motorcycle. I make sure to have enough time to enjoy my wonderful family. My wife Sandy and I have two teenagers, Nicole and Sean, and a grown daughter Terri who has a beautiful family of her own. I am happy that they are also members of CUMC.
