Thank you for your interest in church membership.  Our hope is that those who attend Community Church would one day decide to join the church in membership.  By becoming a member of Community, you are publically declaring your belief in Jesus Christ and your desire to support the church with your prayers, your presence, your gifts, your service and your witness.

To become a member, individuals are asked to participate in a membership class called, CLASS 101.  The new member’s class (CLASS 101) is held approximately every three months on a Sunday afternoon usually from 3:00pm until about 7:00pm.  Dinner is provided by the church.  Upon completion of the class, if you desire to become a member, you will be asked to repeat a members covenant during the next worship service you are available.
CLASS 101 is open to those seriously considering membership and also to those who just want to learn more about the church.  The class is an open door to become connected with the church.  It is an excellent opportunity to commit yourself to Christ, to become familiar with the beliefs of the United Methodists and the vision of Community church.

New Member Sponsors

We are delighted to offer our new church members a sponsor.  A sponsor is a friendly face who commits to helping you become familiar with the church and introduce you to other members.  You will be given the opportunity to request a sponsor when you sign up for the membership CLASS 101. 

New Member Small Group

After each new member class, we offer a small group study of The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.   All New Members are encouraged to attend this short term study lasting about seven weeks and beginning shortly after CLASS 101.  The small group serves as a wonderful opportunity for new members to build relationships and continue learning about God and Community church.  You can sign up to participate in this small group when you sign up for CLASS 101 or at CLASS 101.
